High Excitement
After a late night on Thursday in a restaurant where my brother and his wife are old customers and as it was the last night of their season they plied us relentlessly with free raki and ouzo, it was a slow start today. Dermot dropped Christine off at our apartment and headed to do some work and we walked back the hour and half or so to their house in the tiny village of Vrysses. A sunny walk of great beauty and dereliction . Walking through orange groves, walnut groves, olive groves, avocados, pomegranates and jasmine. A wonderful trek full of snoozing cats and barking dogs. The dogs here are mostly guard dogs. Chained and barking. Though Z met one who wasn't. Then a cold beer on arrival and some chat, lots of chat and lots of cats. They have eight cats, all rescued at various times. David with the different colour eyes did take my fancy. A good few more in the set. Be warned :)
