On Guard

One of Simba's favourite viewpoints - on top of the garden shed:-)  Not sure what he is looking out for, as he's quite short-sighted, but he's very nosy anyway.

A day of household admin: comparing car insurance quotes (yawn!), switching gas and electricity tariffs, changing credit card details on umpteen sites etc.

Forgot to mention that I lost my purse on the very first day of our Croatian holiday.  I accidentally left it in our overnight hotel at Heathrow after I'd left a tip for the housekeeping staff.  I had to ring from abroad to enquire whether it had been found, but was told that nobody had handed it in.  

Purse contained some holiday money (fortunately the rest of it was elsewhere!), some sterling and one joint credit card, which then had to be cancelled and new ones issued.  They were waiting for us on our arrival home, but we've had to change the PINs , so I expect I'll forget some time soon and use the old one!!

It did put a damper on the first couple of days of our holiday, but we had enough money to manage without the need for a card, so we soon forgot about it.  However, I will be much more careful in future!
