Blue Ridge Parkway

As I write this we are nineteen minutes from home. We drove from Virginia to Alabama today, a total of twelve hours including some stops. We decided to travel the scenic route for a while along the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was absolutely beautiful with the colors of fall! This working mill was along the way. The Blue Ridge Parkway is the most visited national park, even more than the Grand Canyon. It is over 400 miles long, but we only did about 120 miles of it. Then we needed to get back on the interstate to make it home at a reasonable time. It was a fun trip!
