Half Way

Day 5

Half way through the day, half way to our next port of call.
The Captain has just informed us we are using half of the engines.

Just so long as we don?t see half of another figure he has just given us.......4300ft to the bottom.

While we are on some numbers - the boat is 208m long and weights in at 47,427 gross ton. .She was built in 1990 in Germany and was originally named M/V Horizon and went into service with the Chandris line cruising between the USA and Bermuda in the summer and the Caribbean in the winter.
In 1997 a merger formed the ?The Royal Caribbean Cruises? and she was renamed ?Island Star?.
In 2005 she underwent a fairly major refit where a further 2 restaurants, 59 staterooms and 50 balconies were added, after which she took up her first season cruising Brazil.

Nope............not heading for Brazil (I couldn?t cope with a 14 hour flight back)
