Varnished duck

I met this duck in Water Lane today, together with her Mr.  With the strong light and partly shadowed background she looked like she had sat for Reynolds or Lawrence and had just had her portrait varnished!  She's quite sweet really, isn't she, with the gloss on her feathers and that shiny brown eye.
