H.M.S. Richmond

It was raining this morning, it soon passed but a breezy day.  The showers started again at teatime, eased off again and the wind has dropped.

We've been short staffed in the museum today, and it's been a steady day of visitors.  Thankfully most of the visitors today have been locals, and they looked after themselves.  I popped down to see granny earlier too.  She was doing well, and chatting away.  Walkies, a bit of telly and then off to work in the pub.

I spied the Lerwick pilot boats darting about the harbour this afternoon and had to investigate what they were up to.  The H.M.S. Richmond has been in Lerwick for a few days now, and now it was time for her to leave.  Pictured here with the Lk 271 Pilot Us and the Vaila Mae sixareen, in Hay's Dock, Lerwick.
