mono day

It is really dreary here today....colder, rain, wind and foggy, low clouds. Without the sunshine on the yellow leaves of the trees along the creek,  it makes their color seem so dull and brassy.  Like dried up yellow mustard!

I found this little aster hiding in the sagebrush close to the house.   It is a bright spot in this otherwise mono day.  

But a good thing is, I will stay inside and clean up photos from all of October, too many to keep.    Or I will just curl up on the sofa with a book and a cup of chai tea!
