A Healthy Pair of Twins

What a treat to see chamois this morning as it is the hunting season. Yes, people eat these beautiful animals, and I bet you had a chamois leather to clean windows when you were young if you are of my vintage! As it is Sunday the hunters were not in evidence but neither were the red deer. I had gone up on the side of the Dents du Midi to listen to the roaring of the rut but I couldn't hear a thing so I was very happy to see a herd of about 20 chamois before some people walked above them and they disappeared over the ridge (extra).
