Red Coat

This is her favourite coat. She's had it in three different sizes. In fact, I think she's had this every winter since she was 1, apart from when she was 4. It was first bought for her by her godmother and I have just had to replace it since then, though the second two were all eBay hunts and after this year I don't think I can get bigger. Boo! She has been begging me to get it out of storage but it just wasn't cold enough yet. I conceded this morning as it was feeling decidedly autumnal.

She had a very musical day at school- orchestra was in the morning today and then They played for assembly (as they always do on a Friday). After break her class had music lesson with the orchestra teacher- Katie was excited to be one of two allowed to use some special bells. At lunchtime she went to singing club!

Solo rehearsals tonight. Her song and dance edited music was briefly shown to us- once. She had a bit of a head blown time as she knows that dance so well that the quite fundamental changes that have happened are taking a major fight against her physical memory. Doesn't help I am having to make do with bogging the old music until the new version is given to us. Her ballet is looking gorgeous, she's worked really hard on the new beginning particularly. We managed to convince her duet partner to practise it a little and they're picking up a trickier new ending well. Really could do with another month until festival though. Sigh.
