Red Frog Day
Yesterday was a really busy and pretty exhausting day. As well as the usual Sunday routine, my 5 mile morning run and the Camera Club exhibition, we got a call from our farmer friend who was looking for hands to help get in his hay before the rain came on. Apparently hay is best if it gets a week lying in the sun to dry it out, before it is baled and stored for the winter. This was a day short of the target, but had to be taken in otherwise it would be lost as hay. Anyway we spent a few hours loading bales onto the trailer and then offloading them at the farm and building a large stack in the shed. It was great fun with lots of laughs but also hard work, especially as the bales were heavy with extra moisture.
By the time we were finished and enjoying a well earned beer, the closing ceremony for the Olympics was on and before I knew it was midnight. Its on days like this that I am glad I no longer feel obliged to blip.
Today it was a long lie to help ease the still aching limbs. Felt great to lie in bed that little bit longer, particularly as the rain was lashing on the window.
Today's blip is of a frog I found in the Old School House. Not sure why it was there unless it was trying to escape from the heavy rain, although I thought frogs liked water!
Anyway, it was coaxed into a bucket and blipped before being released outside.
