Cairo

Yesterday, we were delighted to receive the piece of art we commissioned from Peter Broomfield, a young Scottish artist but old Cairo hand. He did the initial sketches in Egypt and finished and printed it in Troon before despatching it to us here in Barcelona. We are delighted with it as it captures so much that we love about the city, all of which populates our minds as soon as we close our eyes and dream of the place. Quite whets the appetite for another visit!

The trellis work is in gold, as is the sun-moon.
