Smeaton's Tower on Plymouth Hoe

Smeaton's Tower was the 3rd Eddystone lighthouse constructed 
between 1757-59. It ceased operation on the reef in 1879 and was deconstructed then reconstructed in it's present position as a lasting memorial to it's creator John Smeaton.
