Startted the day with a quiet dip in a swimming pool in the morning.

We then visited a family friends' house for evening dinner. Since their children have all left the nest, our kids played with some of their old toys. We many, many years before our kids make their own ways in the big bad world, and I for one won't really how to react until it happens. One consequence is that this couple will be taking holidays sans children again. Their next holiday being in Greece. They were asking for our experiences when we went there, but I'm not sure how useful were our hazy memories to them. My wife and I had just started dating so we were young, carefree, broke, and eschewed bourgeoise concepts like 'planning'. I think they will be considerably more organised.

This portrait was taken at the cafe were we had our lunch. I wanted to pose her white top against the whitewashed cast-iron tables and chairs. She was delightful, but had the giggles when I first tried to direct her. Fortunately, she soon calmed down and managed this relaxed-looking pose. I'm pretty sure hers was the worst case of the giggles I've encountered!
