Burn It Off - Blues Explosion

I forgot the golden rule last night.

Never, ever order food from a wee curry house on a sunday night. I can only assume they wanted to get rid of all the veggies they had left over before the fresh order came in this morning.

It wasn't enough to keep me off work, but at the same time it certainly wasn't fun. It's a shame as it's generally a good wee curry house we have here and this has really put me off their food.

Blues Explosion were formerly known as Jon Spencer Blues Explosion (nothing to do with the Scottish footballer). The name was changed with the release of their recent LP Damage, which this track comes from. They do some unusual, but good, blues influenced garage music, with a bit of a seventies feel. Much like th ewhite Stripes, you couldn't exactly call what they do traditional blues, but you can certainly hear the blues influence. Oh and I really like their guitarist Judah Bauer's playing.

Here's their, Ray Harryhausen inspired, video for this track.
