Red Right Hand - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

A great day today, it was what holidays are all about. MAddy and I had to head into town in the morning so I could drop off some trousers I needed taken up for tonight. After that was done we headed up to Ainslie Park swimming pool where we met Sam and Chloe. Maddy was keen to show off her diving. She was pretty good at the start of the session, but by the end she was great. Firstly she'd stopped holding her nose and secondly she'd grasped springing a bit higher at the start of the dive. I was proud of her.

After that the four of us headed into town and grabbed lunch at Meadowood which was great as ever.

After that Maddy decided to head to Chloe's since she was off there tonight anyway. I headed back to Hanover Street, picked up my trousers then headed back home. We had a couple of hours chilling then Roz and I headed into town for our friend Jan's birthday meal. It was at a place called The Dogs and served really nice simple but incredibly tasty food at very reasonable prices. It was a great evening, with good company and even without the thirteen of us at our table the place was really busy for a Wednesday night, always a good sign. I'm ready for my bed now though.

Today's song is a Nick Cave classic. I have to admit to missing it completely when it was released as I never actually listened to any Nick Cave until the time Murder Ballads came out. Even then it took serious peer pressure. Great musician though, even if my favourite of his albums is the one he did as Grinderman last year. The new one which has just come out is well worth a listen too though.
