Getting older

Today I visited my optician expecting to be told that I needed a stronger pair of glasses for reading.


Imagine my horror  to be told (a) " you've got cataracts ," and (b)" there is a 26 month waiting list".

The optician added:"It used to be a 12 week waiting list."

Well, all the scaremongering about our crumbling NHS service looks like it's true. And we used to pride ourselves in Scotland on our NHS.

And the photo or the day? well after that unexpected bit of  news what else could I do but photograph my feet.
