Kenema street scene

Just over twenty-one hours after I left home, we arrived at the Paloma Guest House in Kenema deep into the south of Sierra Leone. The flights through the night via Casablanca to Lungi were tiring enough, but the six hour car journey from Lunghi to Kenema left me shattered. After an afternoon nap, a planning meeting and some dinner, however, I feel rejuvenated. It's early to bed now, though, ahead of a 6:30am start for three school visits in Kailahoun tomorrow. This was my view from my bedroom window earlier this afternoon.
