Common Kingfisher(Alcedo atthis)

Went out really early and surprisingly sat and watched for at least two hours before anything other than Great Black-backed Gulls turned up! After two and a half hours the Ruddy Turnstone(no I'm not being derogatory, I love all birds)and then my new friend! In slightly different light that iridescent turquoise blue plumage becomes a more emerald green and she positively shimmered in the bright sunlight. It looks as though I might be seeing alot of this wonderful bird and I feel extremely privileged. Will I get bored photographing a Kingfisher? You may, before I do!
