Any one in England who claims to be a fell walker will know the silhouette of the Langdale Pikes. They are of course in the heart of the Lake District.

Here they are from what must be over ten miles away when I walked from Milnthorpe back to Arnside this morning.

Safely home from down south yesterday after a thirty mile detour when the M6 north was closed for three hours. Will there be fewer accidents when we are all in driverless cars?
