Autumn at Holehird.

Here is a small part of Holehird Gardens at Windermere. I have featured them before and I shall do so again.

It is worth stressing that the Lakeland Horticultural Society which runs these wonderful gardens employs nobody. All the work in the garden and all the administrative work of running the Charity is carried out by volunteer members. With its walled garden, Alpine and Tufa houses and its National Collections, it is rewarding to visit at any time of the year for anyone interested in trees, plants and flowers.

Admission is free but an optional contribution is invited.
