Hobsgrumble Gill
I've named today's blip after the Gill just visible over Pushka's shoulder, surely a contender for best name in the Lakes.
It was too nice today for any of the chores that should have been done, so thinking caps went on for somewhere inspiring that all of Team IttH could manage - it didn't take long to arrive at Swindale - a leisurely 5 miles along a very quiet dead end Farm Lane, with little rise or fall to tax the pooch.
Sitting at Simon Stone looking up towards Force Falls, Gouther Crag, and the Corpse Road it was simply glorious. The bracken is burnt a beautiful orange, the trees are just starting to turn and the pasture is still verdant - we sat with a coffee and simply soaked it up. T-shirt weather in October didn't go amiss either!
Thank you for all the kind comments for yesterday's R3P. I've fielded lots of lovely comments all day, sadly the other 2 peaks weren't as clean - a staggering 267kg was taken from the Ben and Snowdon looks like being over 200kg. We finally weighed in with 96.4kg - my team of Dr's were very precise lol.
