Phew

Another good night though the boys were up at 6 am and Mr C's cold is getting him down.

We got the boys out for Cragside opening and spent a few happy hours at the adventure playground. As it had rained in the night we took old towels so that the boys coukd dry off the play equipment before they used it. This effort to stop them getting too wet was fruitless - when they had a disagreement I took Thomas out of the play area and walked him down to the lake, where before long they were both sitting in wet sand discovering what would float and what would sink. They threw stones, sticks, leaves, sand, but fortunately not themselves, into the lake. We had a picnic and again they fell asleep in the car on the way back.

After they woke they decided to bring all the cushions, duvets and pillows into the living room so that they could jump off the chairs onto the middle of the soft pile.

The parents arrived about 4pm, having had a great time at Rich and Drew's wedding in Culzean Castle, in Scotland. They brought us a bottle of Tanquery gin so that's definitely going to get opened tonight.
