Ancient Gate

I had a lovely walk with Freespiral and her husband up hill and down dale. The offroad bit was a little soggy under foot but we suffered only one major deluge. We sheltered under oaks in a fairy fort called Derrydubh. This bit of decoration on the top of an old gate caught my eye. The gate led into an old domain around an old homestead.

We passed stone circles and a wedge tomb and we poked around in an old un-lived- in house. A great day.
