Bitterroot Paint-out

Day 1 of the Bitterroot en Plein Air and I herded 23 artists to various sites in the valley.....from the valley floor along the river (extra) to the foothills for a grander view. Several homes/ranches provided shelters, bathrooms and even lunch for the various groups. Mornings were cool and stormy looking but ended up sunny and warm. The autumn colors pleased everyone. Painters are crazy....they paint in heat and cold and wet. I chose my career wisely as I returned to my warm studio with hot tea and warm clay.
