Local Heroes
I'm afraid I have no idea why this cafe has a Spider-Man. I just blipped and ran on my way to meet a friend to have dinner and watch Bridget Jones' Baby. Not sure of exact dates but a couple of stats...the last time we went to the cinema together sans children was to see Colin Firth in A Single Man. I'm pretty sure we were flat mates during the first round of Bridget Jones'ing. I kind of feel like I want to watch the film out of nostalgia. Though my niece has just informed me she thinks it the best of all the Bridget Jones films and I'm not sure she was able to speak when the first ones came out.
All that aside Spider-Man was a handy spot as the real hero of today is Carlos. There now follows yet more unashamed, I can't believe how amazing my husband is-ness so feel free to cut out now if you are bored to tears with that refrain. For those still here, we got the test results today from the lovely Greek doctor (early, thank you for not making us wait another 3 weeks) and high level they show no real improvement which suggests the strong possibility that Carl is in fact a medical genius. (For the record he has no A- levels worth speaking of in public). The Drs are now working to his hypothesis and using the research papers he has provided to form an action plan. (The same papers the Professor showed little interest in back in July only stating that they were "very scientific" but let's not focus on that). They are also consulting with a specialist on the topic who is based at the University of Athens. In the meantime J gets a small dose increase to help him feel a little better whilst a plan is being formed.
In the absence of things being fixed already, it kind of feels like the best possible outcome at this stage and we are all a little buzzed.
One day I'll go back to complaining about his weird socks on radiators habit.
