Roots- Mono Monday challenge

I am posting this blip today for my personal record. This is part of the concrete shelf that our landscaper has been going through with a drill most of today. The connection with the theme of roots is that we needed the concrete which the over enthusiastic builder had poured as footings for the wall, removed so that when my bamboos (only clumping varieties) and Acers are planted, their "roots" will be able to grow down into the soil. You can see that the depth was very shallow although we did have some shrubs growing there and they seemed to survive OK. Thanks to Dollykgray for being this month's host for Mono Monday.
