"Play with me..."

Dear Diary,

Emerson is a creature of habit.  Every evening as I am trying to watch the nightly news, he comes and sits in front of me with this appealing look in his eyes.  He is ready for a rousing game of "catch the mouse".  That rather rough looking blob on the end of the string is his mouse.  It is pretty beat up and I've tried on numerous occasions to buy him a new one but he will have none of it.  So, I keep sticking the stuffing back in and sewing it up and he loves it...to death!

Before Emerson begins to play, however, he must do his "downward facing cat" stretch, extra photograph.  He goes through the same routine every time.  Please note his excessively furry paws!  He is such a dear sweet little boy.  The house would be so empty without him.

I got my flu shot yesterday.  I'm starting my annual fall routine now.  We are all, in some part, creatures of habit.  Our temperatures are now in the low 60's every day, the leaves are turning and it's time to "button things up" for what is too come.  The wheel turns and we turn with it whether we are ready or not.
