Gaylord Returns!

Dear Diary,

Gaylord has made his first visit to the seed table and he seems to be wondering why the bowl is nearly empty!  That's because Philomena and Hoover visit it as well so I will have to use a bigger bowl! 

The return of Gaylord is a sure sign that summer is truly over.  He has been foraging in the Maple tree for some time but some nice sunflower seeds are really welcome.  I've been picking apples to cut up for them as well.  They are way too tart for my tastes but they love them.  The deer have gotten all the low ones so I will need to use a ladder tomorrow to reach the rest.

Greg will have to work on the interior trim on the porch today as it is down pouring.  We desperately need the rain though.  I hope it clears out for the weekend for the opening of the fair.  I hope to go next Tuesday on "Seniors Day".  Free admission!
