Like a bat outta hell....

I had to put the thumscrews on the kids this morning, to get them to go to nottingham to visit their paternal uncle, nephew etc. At one point DD came out with 'so you want to get rid of me?' But she couldn't keep her face straight, and we both cracked up laughing.
I wanted them to go because family is important, its always been important to me, maybe because my family are distant. That's why the separation has been so hard for me. I'm keeping busy, learning braille for my new job, starting Japanese in September, still sorting the house and garden. I sorted more paper out of the study, a big box of paper which I have carried around through all my house moves last year, all rubbish! It's good to get rid of the rubbish out of my life.
Oh, also talked to my ex today, very civililised, sat in the sunshine in my garden, with a cup of tea, it felt nearly normal :)
