It's "hello" to my newest orchid (Dendrobium)...

... and "pleasant dreams" to the older one (Phalaenopsis) which has been in bloom throughout the summer and now needs a rest.

I had a trip to the local garden centre when I realized that I might face an orchid-less bleak winter, and this little beauty came home with me. She may be less spectacular than her predecessor (inset) but has an elegance which does not require cosmetic makeover.
