I am a story-teller at heart, observing life through a digital "third eye" while holding fond memories of manual cameras and chemical processing. Now just a geriatric happy snapper in his mid eighties still carrying a camera, smaller and lightweight now, snapping anything worth writing about and sharing with others of a like mind.
London born, I lived and worked in six English counties before retiring at the turn of the century to the lovely little East Anglian town of Woodbridge, offering access to coast and countryside, limited now by decreased mobility but still a great incentive to try to get out with my camera whenever possible for a "today" blip, and saving a few spares to fill blank slots when I simply cannot leave the house.
(Newspaper background; now feel stifled if unable to get out there and share experiences in words and pictures.)
UPDATE January 2, 2017:
Currently hibernating, recovering from health problems. Hoping to return to full activity in the Spring but will try to look in occasionally before then if possible.
LATER UPDATE April 2017
I am advised by "those who know", that my earlier expectations are unrealistic and I should "take it easy" for as long as it takes. I dispute the word easy' (and how long is a piece of string?) but am trying my damnedest to comply!
Thanks to all who have kindly sent good wishes. Please watch this space!
