Black Beauty
Snape - my first thought as I got closer!
When at rest with it's wings closed it goes from being a colourful fancy flier to quite black. The wings just reminded me of a cloak and the sinister figure of Professor Snape of Harry Potter fame striding forbiddingly down the cloisters; the same ones walked by my husband in his school days, not Hogwarts I hasten to add, but at King's in Gloucester Cathedral, the setting of the film.
Sticking with the film theme - Colleen Atwood's design of the bird cloak, depicting evil in Snow White and the Huntsman is strikingly similar as the wings are glossy and raven like. However there is a bit of a chestnut tinge in the black velvety softness and an expensive looking glossiness that you can't help falling for.
The incline of the head with the chin up, a little on the snooty side perhaps but a fabulous butterfly.
