The Lozarithm Lens

Devizes (Tuesday 27th September 2016)

I sat on a bench close to where this swan was shortly after taking this picture. He obviously decided he was entitled to payment as he came up to me and attempted to snatch from my hand the sausage roll I was eating to revive my flagging energy levels. I hid it in a brown paper bag but he didn't believe it had disappeared and pecked my hand instead. Ouch!

P.S. I wasn't able to see or edit the thumbnail, possibly because of the file size, hence its odd appearance.

Lozarhythm of the Day:
Tim Buckley - Song To The Siren (recorded 4-5 March 1968, Mayfair Studios, New York NY)
This song was debuted by Tim Buckley on the final episode of the Monkees' TV show on 25 March 1968 but wasn't released until 1970 when a much newer version appeared on his album Starsailor, by which time some of Larry Beckett's lyric had been altered. This demo version shows that he had been considering the song for his 1968 album Happy Sad. The first released version of the song was by Pat Boone, of all people, in 1969.
This version appeared later on The Dream Belongs To Me, a compilation of works in progress that I heard for the first time on this day.
