Pinocchio once more
After yesterday's exercise with too many stairs and slopes I've taken it quite easy today. My operated knee is not yet up to much ! So I had a short and gentle stroll only today along the Lake Como side ending up at a place where I could watch the seaplanes land and depart, see the extra. And returned via Piazza Cavour and couldn't resist to take one more shot of Pinocchio with another photographer just for size (and because during midday it's impossible to take any picture without people in downtown Como). For Sue H, to see if this shot is more to her liking and for Ann to show that unless they're excellent throwers I don't see a traffic cone ending up his nose very soon ;-)
With this shot ends my hosting of MonoMonday this month, here are my picks for the Cultural theme:
The hearts go to:
soletrader for the excellent shot of a Dublin cultural monument
Beachcomber149 for a shot of a beautifully preserved ancient Celtic Cross
JDO for a fascinating shot and Blip about Sanctuary
60plus for the Blip about the Carnegie Free Library at Penistone
MrsPuff for her shot of the Maori Memorial details
Special mentions (just because I can only give 5 hearts ! I'd give all of them a heart too if I could)
craftylady for her Trooping of the Colour parade on the iron board
FrankS for the Blip about Shakespeare's home
chrisphoto for the Japan memories and the Geisha doll
Kd who caught and captured a real book reader and
ninniex with her Blip about Gaucho culture
Extra special mentions for
nesscat and chrisF who both posted their 1000th Blip this past MonoMonday and made it a MonoMonday entry nonetheless !
Thank you again for all your entries, it was great to see so many interpretations, if you missed it do have a look at the whole collection here
It's been a pleasure doing this hosting, even if you did all make very difficult with your great entries. Next Monday 3 October Dollykgray takes over the hosting and her first theme is Roots
