The Bridge that no longer shakes

Down by the riverside today and went to what is knwn locally as the shakie brig except that due too Health and Safety it no longer shakes and is now firm and fixed.

As youngsters my children used too run into the centre of the bridge and sway it from side too side laughing all the time. Now it is just a bridge. There used to be small beach bit from which they could paddle but that is now oovergrown but saying that did see a few trout jumping

Whatever happened to fun
