The week in brackets

Early morning departure Ulan Bator.   The airport was re-named Chingiss Khaan Airport (what else) in 2005 to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Mongolian state.  The airport is located about 15km from the city center; a new airport being built is 52km out of town which will add to the challenge of traveling to Mongolia.
In this blip, flat light rather typical of Ulan Bator at this time of the year (even early morning) to go with the rather flat countryside. And two rather gruelling flights to bracket my week.
