Early Start
When I woke up at 5.30 this morning, I knew exactly what I had to do. Sunrise over the Grand Canyon was round about 6.15 and I knew that if I walked towards Yavapei Point there was a chance of getting a reasonable shot of the Canyon as the light filtered its way down over the rocks. My trusty companion volunteered to come with me so we donned some warmish clothes and ventured out into the greyness. We were rewarded by a tremendous light show as we may never get to see again.
It has been another busy day looking and learning about geology, history, political situations, water reclamation, and water a tour guide does when he discovers he's left two people behind in a car park...
We are now at Lake Powell and are looking forward to visiting Monument Valley tomorrow! Can't wait!
