A most satisfying week

This week has been wonderful. Work has been so brilliant and it's been such a privilege to be in a load of different schools doing a load of different things. It's taken three years but I'm now so happy with what we do and how we are received by schools. We've also got some really exciting things in the pipeline and I'm really looking forward to the next few months. Two highlights of my week have been supporting some students in school who are being bullied and being able to tell them how brilliant they actually are and then (slightly more self involved) being mistaken for Kate Middleton in my old high school picture. This was a pleasant change from being asked if it was a boy or a girl in a previous lesson.

The week was beautifully completed with (probably) the last BBQ of the year with Lucy and Roddy. Perfectly cooked steak, Butty Bach Ale and the most delightful company. Also, plentiful giggling.

Excellent time at church this morning followed by a causal half marathon (obviously not casual at all). I did it and it was fine but my goodness it was dull. Even with the brilliant Sofie Hagen and her wonderful Danish accent and hilarious feminist commentary couldn't keep away the boredom. This year, like most years, I entered the London Marathon ballot. I'm almost 99% sure I don't want the place even if I do get in. I might die of boredom.
