Despite the early start, we nailed our first Peace assembly today. I uttered my last word a few seconds before the bell and the head of year and I shared a moment of pure satisfaction at the timing.

Then we had our last run of year 7 lessons. For the most part, they've been brilliant. Today in my class we were thinking about what questions you would ask if you were meeting someone for the first time. One of the girls wrote that they would ask 'are you by sexy al'. I told her that asking someone if they were bisexual is probably a bit personal for a first meeting.

That's 180 Year 7 students done! And we were rewarded with a luxury box of biscuits!
