Dublin

We took the Dart in to Dublin and spent the day wandering about playing tourists. Saw the famine statues (extra) and the two-masted famine ship Jeanie Johnston, passed by Molly Mallone, bought some stamps in the Post Office and observed the bullet holes, plus the one in the left breast of one of the winged ladies on Daniel O'Connell's statue (see extra) - no wonder she looks a bit grim, it's been there for 100 years. We went into the Temple Bar for a pint and I noticed James Joyce quietly reading his book and enjoying his drink while men in silly green hats partied loudly just around the corner.
