Cotswold Barby

We received a call out of the blue yesterday from C's old regular diving buddy and his wife, inviting us to a barbecue at their home in the Cotswolds. They only married a couple of years ago, and have been doing up a couple of old cottages which have now been merged into  one, and they recently finished enough living area and kitchen to be able to move in.
Their new home is absolutely lovely, and we spent a really pleasant evening there along with some more old diving friends, reminiscing about the "good old days" and all the places we've dived over the years (around 40 years in the case of 3 of us).
It's very strange, as I used to go to school with our friend's mother, so it's a real mix of ages.
