Stob Coire na Ceannain from Achaderry

We were working up at Davot today in the sun. The Whitebridge road back to Fort Augustus is a beautiful drive but I kept my boots on because I was determined to spot a blip on the way back which would almost certainly demand a scramble up or down a bank. And so it turned out; Loch Tarf was sparkling and at its west end you could get a nice shot of the rushes and skyline beyond and exclude cars and roads from the shot.

I took a few and even "bracketed" some (slide film style from a few years back) to rescue any burnt out sky. I was happy.

At home early for a change the day had improved and the evening sunshine at Achaderry probably offerred some opportunities I thought. Despite Mhairi doing almost seven miles with them earlier in the day Bruce and Caley were up for another wee stretch at Achaderry; and there is the frustrating problem; nothing of note one day and twenty blip options the next.

So after a deliberate blip stop at Tarf I have gone for the evening light at Achaderry from a bread and butter dog walk.
