Raheny_Eye kindly met us off the Dart in Dun Laoghaire and conducted us to the legendary O'Loughlins . It usually features in B & W on these pages - but this reminds me of the brown quality of the place. Our Flemish friends would immediately recognise it as a true bruin café of the best kind. You can just glimpse Maurice pouring a pint in the background.

We savoured a pint or three of the black stuff and had a nice chat with Kathleen, who was unaccountably drinking Smithwick's. Each to his own...
