Flowers of Scotland
Our last day in Edinburgh and with lovely blue skies all day we have just chilled in and around the Princes Street gardens.
After a walk in the East gardens below the castle (too into the sun for a good shot) we returned to the West gardens and got a coffe from the National Gallery and too it to a bench to sit and people watch. It was lovely watching dogs being trained and running around and children playing with their families all against the wonderful skyline of the the Royal Mile above. We could even hear a piper.
I loved these flowers adorning the pillars of the Royal Academy. They are representing Impressionism as the gallery is exhibiting artists of this genre at the moment including Van Gogh. We didn't actually go in, it was too nice to be inside.
We're now home but we will be back soon to this super city.
