Autumnal

After a lovely morning - check out the pre-sunrise extra photo - this afternoon was largely grey, and in places windy. We avoided the wind by going to Benmore Gardens, where the trees were full of the smells of Autumn, not least from the blue smoke drifting from two separate bonfires at opposite end of the gardens. This is the one that was just getting going beside the river, where they have been clearing rhododendrons.

I need a bit more sun before I'm ready for autumn, and the winter that follows ...
