Diary of an Edinburgher

Shopping

JR was very slow to get going this morning, so I took Archie out, then brought her breakfast in bed while she read her book. She required a coffee too, before she grudgingly got up and slipped into her gym gear. Even then, there was a lot of procrastinating before she eventually disappeared out the gate. One more day, then the weekend off, J!

Camila arrived to take Archie out - cue crazed Archie welcome. We took advantage of his absence to go out to Fort Kinnaird to stock up on dog food. I always like looking at the pets - some very sweet rabbits and little rodents whizzing round on wheels were fun to watch for a while.

’When I'm here on my own, I always pop into a few other shops...' said JR wistfully as we were about to leave ...

So I magnanimously offered to have a scone and read the papers in the M&S cafe for half an hour or so, which was about a quarter of her normal browsing time, but we were both happy.

I have realised that my dog clippers are still under guarantee, so I've been in touch with the company, and even sent them a video of the offending non-working behaviour.

Bird station news: None.
