An Invincible Summer.....

An Olympic.....

......Date.

The scorching sun and the 28degrees lured us outside for lunch.

Katie and I decided to dine in St James' park.....on our way there we must have passed the Ukrainian Embassy or something of the sort as there was a huge gathering outside with bunting and balloons and very important people milling about. And amongst the mix were a collection of Ukrainian athletes.....we both got quite excited by the fact that we were in the presence of Olympians.....but alas, we had both forgotten our cameras at work so no pics to show for it.

We reached the park only to discover remember that most of it was now fenced off due to the volley ball events just a few steps away.

"So whose looking after the ducks?"

We chatted and bathed to the soundtrack of Euro-pop beats floating over from the manmade beach and discussed how sad we will be once the Olympics is over and how we will miss the Olympic uniformed volunteers swanning around everywhere with there passes around their necks, making the city so much more colourful ;)

Then it was time to go back to work.

On the return I took this, London all a buzz ;)

And Life is Colour and Warmth and Light and a striving evermore for these.....
