Claire has had an allotment for some time now and she regularly shares her goodies with the rest of us non-green fingered folk.

Luckily the out of character warm weather has encouraged a rather bountiful crop. Last week a jaunt amongst the slugs and spades resulted in a huge bag of swag, including beans, so many potatoes and rhubarb.

This week was the turn of the courgettes.....and aren't they beautiful! Freshly plucked from the ground and free from all additives.....you can't get better than that.

When I saw this big boy I knew I couldn't let it go without a picture, and in our department we are never short of a long ruler and cutting mat.....so you can see for yourself how big it really was.

I wonder what Nikki will do with all 33 centimeters of it? ;)
