Growing old disgracefully

OUR FRIENDS IN THE NORTH

Spent the day with Fido and family, engaged in some of the activities I most enjoy; chatting with my adorable niece and her lovely husband, building dams, playing in the woods, drinking tea in the garden, eating cake and making submarines out of cornflake packets.

I travelled north on the incredibly comfortable and speedy gold coach for 50p return - there are some advantages to being an older person. Nonstop Glasgow to Aberdeen in 2 hours and 40 mins, courtesy coffee, sandwiches and wifi. The weather was good and the views spectacular. What a beautiful country this is!

GOOD THINGS
Fido's courgette soup and smile (illustrated)
Fido's lovely husband's lovely Bakewell tart (not illustrated as it was eaten too quickly)
