And in the mid 60's they pulled down an old church and erected this.  Bravo !
It's a tribute to the skills of the shuttering joiners and concrete casters.  It is almost 50 years old, in a salt laden environment beside Javea port, and there is no sign of rust induced spalling, and the as cast concrete is fresh as can be.
Pity it's raison d"etre is so devisive.  I mean all religions, not just Catholicism / Christianity.  Oops!  Treading where even angels fear to?
